Open a Play Cafe

We offer both licensing for our brand (two options) and consulting for those who want help creating their own play cafe brand.

Licensing means you’d own a Natural Nest Play Cafe, we’d help you’d along the way opening it up with training, finding a location and every step along the way. It would be yours to run and make your own! We’d share all our knowledge to help you be successful and even be there as you operate over the years. Consulting would mean we’d help you open your own play cafe and we’d get paid an hourly rate but there are aspects of our business that would remain confidential.

There are two options for our licensing. One is the Licensing fee alone where we teach you what you need to do and advise you and help along the way. The Licensing fee is 20,000-$25,000 for the first year (depending on market size) then 1/2 that amount each year from there.

The second option is our "walk-in ready cafe” The walk-ready option would create a cookie-cutter version of our Middletown location and would take the guesswork out of start-up costs.

That option is one lump sum which includes us getting and helping to set up everything in the play cafe(like our Middletown location), the first year of licensing (additional years would be $8000/year), website design, POS system, and coolers. This also includes lease negotiations and build-out costs as well. All you would have to do is walk into your new business and be trained by us then operate from there! The only thing is does not include is any rent or deposits required by your new landlord. We'd even help you find the perfect spot.

How the process goes for us, if everything looks good below please let me know a few good times for an informal meeting and we'll send over a nondisclosure agreement:

 

  • Informal Meeting

  • Begin Agreement process with a $750 non-refundable deposit (money will be put towards the Licensing Fee once the agreement is signed) and receive a copy of the License Agreement.

  • Review License and or Consulting Agreement and make a decision about proceeding with the License/Consulting within 30 days

  • Once Agreement is signed and the Licensing Fee is paid in full, you receive all hard copy and electronic trademark and supporting business documentation

  • We have a License fee between $20,000 - $25,000 or the walk in ready option price depending on market size (Averaging about $125,000). Our consulting fee is $150/hr with a $1,000 deposit required.

  • There is an annual license renewal fee that is generally priced at approximately 40% of your initial fee.

  • We do not offer third-party financing.
